Originally born and educated in Seoul, Korea, Young completed his undergraduate degree in Korea and worked several years in private companies. Before moving to the United States, Young spent a few years in Canada where he studied Master of Divinity and a Master’s degree in Political Science and Theology at the University of Toronto. Young has completed the MAR degree at Yale Divinity School. He is currently studying his Master of Sacred Theology program at the Yale Divinity School, with concentration in American missionaries in East Asian countries and Religious Freedom. Young’ s first experience in ministry was in the Korean church in Canada where he served as the Young Adults Pastor for two years, an experience which Young says has broadened his vision of ministry from a monoethnic perspective to a multicultural one, a perspective that he cherishes today. In addition to his ministry experience as a volunteer teacher and missionary, Young has taught international Politics and Economics to young Mongolian College students at the Mongolian International University for two years. Young has a passion to see young people thrive and love the Lord. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling and visiting local restaurants. At Replica, Young serves as a volunteer in leading our Young Adult Ministry.
